Sometime in the Past - or Future?

Terminal 9, empty, remote, alien. But not like the bug-eyed aliens in the tv shows. (well, maybe a bit like the many-tentacled type...) No one wants a wedding in a ship terminal. There is too much black ash (goths may be alright with it... but even they do not enjoy doing more laundry). The cleaning bots were never programmed to go over this area. Why?
